Now you definitely need to 2 people to carry it upstairs..i ordered a 12 inch king size...it is really heavy....but once i opened it...and allowed it to expand....for a few hours...it doesnt come with any smell... i couldn't wait to lay in it...made it up and fell straight asleep laying on it...the mattress is definitely firm/soft and it sinks with ur body....but it is comfortable and it definitely doesnt hurt your back getting up..thats what i was looking for a definitely scared of buying a mattress
