It was exactly what I needed. We have been having long extended periods temperatures between 20° and 0° so the drain for the water from the furnace has been freezing. Heating up the garage was not enough to keep it from freezing over. I put this on the drain pipe and it hasn't frozen since. It isn't much heat but just enough. I have been using it for a few weeks now and it seems to be working just great even with the snow and wind.

It definitely works great product. We used it on the pipe that's connected to our wash washer the pipe was frozen it defrosted the pipe within 2 to 3 hours and we were able to wash clothes. I highly recommend this if you have the same similar problems it was a lifesaver nothing worse than a bunch of dirty clothes smelling up the house I highly recommend this
