I've strayed, getting a router from a different brand when my Nighthawk 7000 reached its end of life. Long story short, I kept getting dropped connections and IP conflicts. The other brand was returned, and I upgraded to the newer Nighthawk. It has one job, and it does it well.

I have tried many brands of wifi routers and I can honestly say nothing has compared to netgear. This is my 6th upgrade and they keep getting better. For the price you pay you should always feel protected and have amazing speeds and with the RAXE500 it definitely doesn't let you down. Perfect for gaming, home security, home automation, laptops, desktops, cell phones and everything in between. Our home has so many wireless devices so keeping up with the speed, downloads and everything has always been our first goal and netgear has never let us down. Very easy to set up and with the nighthawk app its very convenient to see exactly what is on your network at any time and with thw security features its easy to shut down the wifi for the kids at bedtime. If you have never tried netgear especially the nighthawk, you definitely should give it a go because they will not let you down.
