I bought this for me but my daughter used it. It's universal for most phones. I will say it's hard to always see if my phone is charging just by laying the phone on the charger. So you have to make sure you place your phone on the pad in a specific spot and check your phone's charging status.

I bought this a week before receiving my XS Max. It’s a bit picky for placement, having to lay it down and move it about until the phone shows the large green battery, or the status light comes up on the low side of the charge pad (which is difficult to see unless you are leaning over with your face at table level). I can’t say it charges any faster than the cord. The real benefit is being able to grab my phone & walk off without coming to the end of the end of the short leash of a charging cable. Overall, if you have the horizontal space upon which it can sit, it is a worthy investment. Just don’t anticipate any great speed in charging (“For a faster charge the pad will deliver up to 7.5W of power to compatible Apple smartphones and up to 10W of power to compatible Samsung smartphones.“).
