Dealing with a member change since their debut EP, Pigboat returns with what has been described as '13 songs of crunching guitars, smashed cymbals, throaty bass, and sometimes-screamed vocals, and though there's some dark material here, you never feel like these guys really mean it...' (Portland Phoenix 4/15/09) The lyrics are very dark... mostly dealing with topics of depression, drugs, and disillusionment. But they can even be silly and even funny. Pigboat alway work to avoid any tacky ploys or glam, and they've created a metal record that is diverse and imposing. This is a real 'heavy' record in the truest sense of the word.
