4 out of 5 stars review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like it in general. It's efficient, and easy to use. Looks steady. I was not sure if there is a functionality that it would automatically shut off if this is no pot but power is on. It would be nice to have that functionality.

The Good and the Bad

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm fairly happy with my choice of ranges. I wanted a simple appliance without fancy, unneeded extras and that's what I got. I like the second duo burner as my old range had only 1. I like the large window and the clean lines on a white appliance as I can't stand stainless steel--looks too cold and uninviting. The bad news now: I'm used to having a light for each burner letting me know which ones are in use and which are still hot after turning them off. This range just has one generic reminder that the stovetop is on, and the stovetop is hot. Not as helpful as I would like. Also not a fan of needing to hit the "start" button when I turn on the oven. Why? I say "bake" and set a temp; that should let it know I'd like it to heat the oven!! Third thing I miss is actual markings on the burner knobs to adjust the temperature. There's Low and Hi. I've put a piece of tape with a line on it to show where the correct temp is so others know my preferred temperature for my pans. Fourth: there's a steam cleaning feature (which I haven't used yet so can't comment on) but no standard cleaning. According to the literature, the steam cleaning is for small spills on the bottom of the oven, but for an overall cleaning like something that splatters there's nothing. Very unhappy about that. If I'd known, I probably would have bought a different range. Finally, the oven loses about 25 degrees when you open it and takes about 10 minutes before it has regained it.That's a lot when you're only baking cookies for 8-10 minutes! Set the temp higher to allow for the loss.

New Range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this range to replace our 25 yr old one. Cook top does a excellent job. Haven't used the oven yet. The controls for the expanded burners could be marked better as the words front and back would be a good addition also a indicator on the control knob would be nice to tell where it is sitting. Also a more plain marking for expanded or single burner.
