Modern Sleek and Intuitive Shower Design
I installed this Moen setup when remodeling our Master shower. I wanted to add the body sprays but didn't like that I would have to add a separate on/off handles for each set of body sprays. I imagined a clean modern design for this shower and installing this Moen unit eliminated the need for additional handles being installed on the wall and gave it a really clean look. I love that I can create different settings for my wife and me and also activate it from my phone. My friends all want to remodel their shower and add this setup. When I first turned it on I wasn't getting any hot water and realized that it was plumbed backwards accidentally. The plumber came back out and installed it correctly and it's been working great. I built a panel to be able to access the shower valve. I think twice in the last year I had to unplug the control panel and plug it back in to reset it. It's a computer after all so that can happen. I would definitely install this in my next home again!

Great when it's working
I love my U Moen digital shower valve when it's working. Unfortunately I get a rude awakening when I attempt to turn it on and the app and controller act like it's on, but it isn't. As you can guess it's not the way you want to start your morning. Luckily I am retired and have the time to reset the controller etc to get operating again, but it can take a while to get it back up to speed so it can again be controlled by a phone app. I have probably one of the early models as I was one of, if not the first user in the Phoenix area. So hopefully a firmware update will resolve the occasional hiccup.

Missing Earlier Features
This was a replacement for the earlier Moen Digital I/O product. This product provides use of an app to start and set up. The earlier product had an optional remote control. The remote was a single button push and provided an immediate response. The app requires multiple selections from your home screen and additional wait time for your app to load (iPhone 7). I find it easier to open my shower door door now to start via the app. Hopeful they will update the new digital valve to accept the old remote at some point.
