Wish I had known.

I bought this for my garage that has 11 foot ceiling height. This ladder will work from 10 to 12 ceilings. This is a quality made ladder it is very solid and sturdy, now the not so great features it comes with a pole with a hook to open it(hook attaches to eye bolt that mounts to bottom of ladder) you have to be very careful when you pull it open when you unfold the sections to do it safely you must be on a ladder this is very important for your safety. If you try to unfold it with the pole it will unfold all the way down and smack you in the head this ladder weighs 60 lbs. To safely fold these steps back up again you have to be on a ladder fold the steps back up (three sections) use the pole and hook the eye bolt on the bottom of door push up gently while holding the pole you must hold pressure on the pole while it closes or it will snap shut with enough force to perhaps damage the stairs .learn to do this correctly and be careful.
