Fixed all of my issues.

After several weeks of failing to figure out a way, I finally was able to extend my mid-2012 Macbook Pro to two monitors. I was so discouraged after numerous failed attempts, this was my 'one last try' before I gave up. (I had spent roughly $130 on different cables and adapters before purchasing this). Download the drivers, plug it in, open the application and you're good to go. SO simple. So happy. Also, I saved about 67% by purchasing an 'Open Box - Return' from Amazon, for what it's worth.

Broke My Mac

I tried to connect my Macbook Pro to an external monitor through this device. [DisplayLink] Mac USB Display Adapter.zip 10.14 - 10.15 Version: 5.2.1 10.11 to 10.13.3 Version: 4.3.1 Language: English I downloaded one of these and everything seemed to download correctly. Then, after rebooting my machine, the apple icon stayed on my screen and the progress bar filled 100%. But it stayed like that. I then went through several steps to return my laptop to its original state including: Turning off the mac and restarting it, and then going through all steps found on one of these websites: https://appletoolbox.com/macbook-stuck-apple-logo-wont-boot/ What finally worked was partitioning my disk and then transferring my files over from my main partition.
