Great size for a 4-6 year old. Can fit a hammock, 20oz metal bottle, walkie talkie, and small stuffed animal. Bought 1 for my 6yo and then bought another for my 4yo. Their favorite part is the built in whistle on the strap. Mine is that they can comfortably carry their own things when we hike.
