ok i have four ferrets and a bunny in my basement. Anyone who has ferrets will tell you they smell musky no matter how much you clean the cage. since we got this the room smells so much fresher even without the scent thing. since most of those bother my daughter's allergies. but even down in the basement the air seems fresher and i no longer wake up stuffed up. and our living room down there is pretty big.

whoever is complaining about this item must have a defective one. i have three cats and the liter box is in my office. now because of this air purifier you not only don't smell the liter but it also smells wonderful. and while yes it is a bit loud, so are air conditioners.
