Great Inshore Rod

I picked this rod up at my local Walmart in Tampa for about $100. It has served me very well so far in the year or so that I have used it for back country fishing. No rust anywhere, guides are sturdy and no inserts have fallen out, cork still looks good. I would say that in my experience the Medium action in this brand is more like Medium Light. This rod just feels well built and I wouldn't hesitate buying one again, although I would probably get a Medium Heavy next time to be able to cast heavier lures a little better.

Verified Purchase

Walmart Bad Packaging

Walmart did a very poor job packaging this rod for shipment. The one piece 7'6"rod was packaged in a flimsy cardboard box that was handmade. The 8' box arrived at my house as a 4' bundle and the rod was broken in two.
