GE JGRP20SENSS Stainless Steel 24 inch Built-In Gas Oven

I do like this oven. It tells you when it has heated to the proper temperature. Only draw back is the timer. The timer will shut the oven off when it expires, but at times your cookies are just not done. You then have to turn it on all over again. Additionally, you can not use the timer for say your laundry or your child' reading time, unless you turn the oven on. This sure needs improvement

I like that it has storage at the bottom. I like that it fit the space I had and no other gas ovens did. I liked that it has a timer to start and stop the oven. I had trouble at first figuring out how to change the timer mid-stream (if I thought something was getting done faster without turning off the oven, but though it took a while and was not obvious or in instructions, it was doable). I haven't quite figured out if oven is calibrated correctly or not. It seems to cook faster than my recipes say it should. But don't have a way to test for sure. One thing I did not like was that I had a pan that broke in the oven (pan's fault, not the oven's), but it made a mess in the oven and when I did the self-clean, dirt came off, but so did the shine on the surface. So, I still have spill marks; you can see where the stuff spilled out of the pan. Even though it's "clean", the finish differs from the original (in only one self-clean for oven's history) and I really do not like that. Wish I knew a way to repair that; the oven is only a few month's old.
