When I received these chairs, one parts package had come open in the shipping box with all the nuts and bolts strewn across the bottom of the box...fortunately, all the parts were there -- just a prelude to the assembly nightmare to come. The chair's wicker parts have to be attached to the metal frames with nuts and bolts -- all to be done with a very small allen wrench...each chair took me 3 hrs to assemble! The coup de grâce was when the accompanying table was delivered the next day, again requiring 1 hour of assembly! Total assembly time=7 hrs for 2 chairs and table set. After reading previous reports of the chair pads not being water resistant, I purchased some Scotchguard and sprayed them each with the stain repellant spray. The chairs I also protected with polyurethane clear satin spray for further protection.

I bought this along with the couch piece, as well. Looks nice, pretty comfortable (although I like a lumbar pillow with it). The wicker is slightly scratchy on the arm rests.
