I used these for pulling foil dinners off the fire cooking grate and coals. My hands never felt hot, but they are bulky, so I was awkwardly handling the food. I have had slimmer, foam fitting gloves before and I was able to handle food easier, but I could feel heat. These get the job done at a good price.

I bought these gloves to use when camping for the fires. I often put our Cast Iron Dutch Oven in the fire to cook and/or heat up. Previously, a pot holder melted when transferring the pan out on my hands, so I thought I'd give these a try. I was concerned about how heat-resistant they were, but they are lined. They work great and don't melt or allow my hands to get burned. I appreciated that they have fingers and not just a glove, as it allows you to better grip items with handles. They easily fit both me and my husband, which is helpful.
