Expert Grill Charcoal Grill, 24 Inch Heavy Duty Charcoal Grill with Wheels, Black

I've been eyeing this charcoal bbq ever since last year but just haven't the extra SSI / retirement funds but I finally decided to get and walked into my local Walmart and WHAM!!! It went from $94 to $124 more likely because of tariffs. So I again put it on my wish list and kept perusing the Walmart app and saw it available for $96 so I hurriedly broke the kid's piggy bank and ordered it. The app said it would only take a couple of days to be delivered and with Walmart I didn't have to pay for delivery. On the day of delivery I received notification my bbq was going to be delivered so I stopped my gym activities and hurriedly home anticipating a Walmart truck to drive up. The app showed me the location of the delivery truck so I grabbed my handtruck and sat on my tailgate with my lunch sandwich in one hand. When the truck arrived it was on a private pick up truck with a young lady delivering it. When I looked inside the bed of the truck, I was surprised it was already assembled and I didn't even pay the assembly fee!! Seeing it ready to fire up I was excited to stick some briquettes but i decided I better read the manual and saw the grill needs to be seasoned so I waited for the next day since I didn't have anything to cook in it. Upon further inspection….more like playing with it like a 5 year old with a chef's hat I noticed there was one essential screw missing for the attached table so again I had to wait a couple of days to find time to make a trip to H depot for a metric screw but had to settle for a metric %2310 bolt and bought some nuts to go with it because the original screw had a sleeve where the table rests on. Anyways, no damage on the bbq when it was delivered and loved the app to track the delivery. The only thing I cooked so far was a couple of ball parks and some zucchinis. I'm waiting for steaks to go on sale at my local grocery store and when that happens, goodbye propane hello briquettes!!!

Everything is great, but don't load the entire coal pan if you want better temperature control. load one side to create an indirect heat source. Also the type/and size of charcoal will play a part in heat control. So lets say you got thick steaks and don't wanna burn them.....sear/blacken them on the loaded side and then place them on the top warming rack on the opposite side with no coals so they are surrounded by the hot indirect heat (while keeping the top dampeners slight open to breathe yet closed enough to hold in heat.)The bottom ones should be adjusted as well so it doesn't hotbox too much and get too hot. BBQ isn't as simple as it appears. Gotta use techniques if you wanna get correct results, That goes for any grill. Every grill has it's own traits.
