I have used this type of product before. it actually helps my outside plants. it will gradually disintegrate to help your soil. I feel like that it helps the ground from being too wet or too dry. The only reason why I give it a four-star is because it was a little hard to break apart. I had been used to more of a brick type which was easily taken apart. all you do is pour water on it and it will swell up and then mixed with your dirt

Best Value Coir: Consistent, Great Results

This is my third brick and I absolutely love this stuff! Cheapest coconut coir on the market. I stopped buying potting soil because the quality is so inconsistent. This product provides a superior, customizable base. I hydrate it, then amend it with supplements like worm castings, compost, perlite, bone meal, mycorrhizal fungi, and Osmocote. Everything I've planted has germinated and grown beautifully. Never buffered it.

I really like this expanding soil. I didn't reconstitute the whole thing all at once, just soaked half of it in water, scraped off what I needed and then soaked more as I needed it! It really helped lighten up my vegetable container gardens. I also used master gardeners organic fertilizer and my veggies are growing better than ever!! Will buy again.
