Green Liriope is a popular evergreen groundcover, favored for its mounds of attractive, dark green, grass-like foliage and its ability to multiply and spread. This tough plant will grow in full sun or deep shade and in a variety of soil types, though it needs well-drained soil. In addition to its favored status as a groundcover, it is attractive as an edging plant. Liriope blooms during the summer with spikes of lavender, pink, or white flowers. Plant this vibrant foliage grouped together in garden beds or combine them with other annuals and perennials for a mix of seasonal color.
