Perfect product to prepare soil for plants

I should have read the instructions before ordering. I was not able to rake the food into the soil. I've included a picture of the instructions. My plants are established and already surrounded by mulch. So I just spread 1tbsp of the plant food on top of the mulch and watered it in. See picture. This was very easy to do. The food almost looks like soil so it disappeared into the mulch quickly. In my opinion this would be the perfect product to use to prepare the soil before planting.

Rich Microbe Ingredients

It's going to take a miracle for my 3 year old scrubby, barren fig tree. This one is a brown turkey endemic to the region who has only bore 2 figs in it's life time. I chose Expert Gardener because of its OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) listing. I'm hoping it's natural biology is the loving care this dwarfed tree needs. I've used all kinds of fertilizers on this tree and on many vegetable gardens and I think this gentle mixture of 5 (nitrogen), 4 (phosphorus), 4 (soluble potash) plus about 7% calcium will invigorate it. I dug around the root system and saw the tree is still living with a strong, deep tap root. Since this is organic, I'm instructed to feed it once every 3 or 4 weeks. If it was artificial chemicals I'd only feed once a quarter but then risk frying the root system. I did pay attention to the expiration date. The plant food remains viable but I read you might lose healthy microbes (beneficial bacteria) past the best buy date. I really like the way this stuff looks and smells. I spread it around the canopy of the plant and watered thoroughly. Normally, I'd wait until after the last frost but I trust the gentleness of this mixture to be okay. What I'm hoping is a fresh vibrancy in the limbs and blossoms by late March. This is probably my last effort with this tree; so I hope it works.

Excellent fertilizer

I had a small hibiscus plant that wasn’t blooming and the leaves were pale green. So I applied the fertilizer as directed and watered the plant thoroughly I didn’t expect too much because of the soil it is planted in it is mainly sandy red clay, but I remained hopeful and I watered the plant ever other day and after the fourth day there was a noticeable darkening of the leaves and a nice large bloom. I was pleasantly surprised , I will continue feeding the plant as directed and of course watering and I believe that before long I will have a huge full hibiscus .
