Dk if it was the weather after applying the food to my plants and putting them in sun for a bit or the soil I added to the plants when transplanting a few plants. They all were shiny and bright and looked great but when Delaware had that heat wave for a little over a week they started dying. I still think its a good product and priced good too

I like to use slow release fertilizers in my garden and there's no reason to buy a more expensive brand. The Expert Gardener options (a Walmart Brand) work just fine. My perennials bloom even if I don't feed them, but for lush blooming for a long period, I fertilize them before blooming and then again at least once every three weeks once they're blooming. There are multiple options and I use most of them. The general plant one and the flower one come in both 4lb and 8 lb sizes. The latter is cheaper per pound. There's also one for evergreens %26 acidic plants, one for roses, etc.
