Great, but with a big problem

It's a colorful, adorable tree with many nice light mode. However., once you turn it off, and even if you use the timer, when it comes back on it defaults to the boring spiraling purple light mode. This effectively negates the usefulness of the timer, because if you want your preferred mode to come on, you have to get out the remote control every time the tree turns on and change it. It really is unfortunate. I have cheap Christmas lights that will at least maintain the mode setting when they are off so they turn back on the way you want them. A major oversight and a completely unnecessary frustration.

I would not buy this item again

They are easy to put together but the remote doesn't work. Can't get the app to connect to the tree. Have to manually turn on and off every night.
