The Skullerz® 8970 Class E Cap-Style Hard Hat + LED Light with 4-Point Suspension is heavy-duty, yet lightweight and comfortable head protection built to protect the top of the head from falling objects or bumping into stationary objects. A padded, moisture-wicking and odor-resistant sweatband and top pad lines the sides, forehead and top interior and is removable for easy replacement. This cap-style hard hat can be worn backwards to improve upward visibility or forward to keep sun and rain away from the eyes. CUSTOMIZED FIT This safety helmet fits hat sizes 6.5 - 8 (21in – 25 in / 53cm – 63.5cm). Customize the size with the easy-to-adjust 4-point premium ratcheting suspension. Simply turn the one-handed adjustment knob to tighten or loosen the fit without having to take the hard hat off. Built with weight distribution in mind, this hard hat’s snug fit balances perfectly on the head and doesn’t slip off. ACCESSORIZE IT One of the biggest challenges for many workers is how to use a hard hat with lights. Straps get snagged and lights fall off. This hard hat includes front and rear slots for secure attachment of the Skullerz® Hard Hat Headlamp, as well as other common accessories like ear protection or hard hat face shields. The suspension also has dedicated attachment locations for the Skullerz® Hard Hat Chin Strap accessory (chin strap not included). For added personalization, stamp your lid with our tenacious hard hat stickers. This Class E hard hat is certified and meets requirements of the ANSI Z89.1-2014, CSA Z94.1-15, Type 1, Class E standard. Ideal for construction & utility job sites, oil & gas, road work, forestry, mining, general site work and projects at altitude.

Fabulous safety hat. Very comfortable and easy to wear. Comfortable fit (especially with a ponytail) and keeps my head warm on a cold day of roofing. The removable comfort band is extremely comfortable and breathable, which is great in warm weather also. Lightweight too! All over a great product. Highly recommended. The features on this hard hat are great, I like the option to be able to adjust the depth, to wear the bill forward or backwards. the liner is super comfy/removable/washable. The rear swivel adjustable ratchet allows for even more comfort. The low light and bright light option on the attachment light works fantastic, I just have to be careful turning my head towards people to avoid temporarily blinding them. My only gripe is the center pad directly above my skull could be more stationary, sometimes I find myself having to adjust the pad before putting on my hard hat so that it sits correctly in position. Aside from that, this hat is the bee's knees (business) once I put it on it stays on and it's very comfortable. It's so comfortable I had to mention it twice. The wordplay game is strong in you...thanks for the feedback on the 8970LED! The center pad is built for easy re-adjustment and removal — a stationary securement would likely impede that functionality. Happy to hear it is performing well otherwise!
This is a great hard hat and I love the LED headlamp that can attach front or back. It makes my life as a low voltage tech so much easier when working in ceilings since it can't get bumped and slip off he hard hat. The suspension is very comfortable even for long use. The only problem I have with it is that I can barely get the ratchet large enough to fit on my noggin! I get one maybe 2 clicks out of it and when near that maximum setting it just doesn't like to hold and it loosens up over the day. This is not an issue unique to this hard hat, I've had several brands over the years do it. I love this hat and just wish my noggin wasn't so big! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
