Love this Printer

Did my due dilligence and liked the answers that I researched on this printer. Does everything I need it to. Love the color and it works like a dream. Never had a problem with it and going on now for two years. I'm sad they discontinued it. I'd definitely buy another one. Great price, great product!

Excellent Value

I use the Photo 1400 to produce test prints of large format photos on a color managed system. Print quality is excellent using the Epson Premium Glossy paper, Epson ink and profiles. Only issue is colors can be a little too punchy. (Results with the Matte and Luster paper were disappointing, but this is not important to me.) Ink consumption is quite good, much better than previous Epson printers I have owned. The printer seems well built and functions perfectly. Overall it has been a very pleasant surprise. Considering the price and performance, highly recommended!

I fill my own cartridges...

Today I am ordering my second Epson 1400. I would not buy anything else. You cannot find a better printer for this price or even higher priced ones. My current printer just finally wore out after 4 years of high volume printing. Many reviews mentioned ink usage and the cost of cartridges being high. I never purchased cartridges. I found a great site online and purchased a kit that allowed me to fill my own. I saved a ton of money on ink and never had a problem with it. My grandkids love coming to my house to print because I let them print all their coloring pages!
