After weaning, Pro Plan can be fed moistened or dry. For best results, develop a regular feeding schedule such as three small meals a day for younger puppies. You can gradually reduce to one feeding in the morning and one in the evening as your puppy ages. The routine should not vary. As puppies near adulthood, their calorie needs may drop, and your puppy may begin leaving some food in the bowl. Don't misinterpret this as an indication of dislike for the food. Instead, begin offering less so your puppy doesn't overeat and stays in ideal body condition. Nestlé Purina Research indicates that avoiding overfeeding of puppies may help their development. Maintaining ideal body condition is key to encouraging proper growth in all puppies, especially large breeds. The indicated amounts are only a guideline. If your puppy becomes overweight, a reduction of your puppy's daily food intake may be appropriate. You may wish to consult your veterinarian about a weight control program. My Puppy loves this food.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We use this food for meals, but she likes it enough that we can use pieces of kibble for training also. Her coat is soft and shiny. She is healthy and growing like a weed. I will definitely be sticking with Purina Pro Plan when she grows out of the puppy food.

I saw this kibble was rated as very good for puppies. I started with a smaller bag for a test. My Labradoodle gets three small meals a day %26 she loves this. It's for puppies under a year. Since it's a lot, I store it in a garbage can and transfer to a smaller container in the kitchen to keep it fresh

My 6 month old doodle is eating a mixture of this and the pro plan lamb for puppies. His delicate Doodle tummy handles it really well and he seems to like the flavor. Dog food is just expensive in general if you want quality but this one is pretty affordable compared to other brands of the same quality.
