Works as advertised, vacuum sealing mason jars. However, I would caution users that this does not take the place of the old fashioned way of canning for prolonged storage of fruits/vegetables/meats/etc. This simple vacuum sealing will not address the killing of bacteria in the product being sealed.

Received this as a gift, and so far I really like it! I have only sealed a couple things; some leftover cookie crumbles, marshmallows, and some puréed pumpkin I processed from my garden. (I will be freezing that, it is not meant for actual canning) It is quick and easy to use. When I reopened the cookie crumble it let off a suction and some crumble actually jumped out because the seal was so good. So I am happy with that. The marshmallows will really be a good test as they always get dried out normally. Anyway, pretty happy with it so far.
