Perfect for 5 and 7 year old. We have had to retighten screws a few times but I think we got it now. Drum set is very nice not cheap and will actually last. Kids love it, of course. I knew how loud this could be but it is what they asked for, and as a grandma I agree, ask for what you really want. It stays at grandma's house otherwise it may not be ideal at home!
