Great Product! It works like a Champ.

I trimmed 6 trees on my property that had not been trimmed in years. I had a ton of branches to chip. This chipper did an awesome job. I cannot express how pleased I was with this product. The wood mulch is great, and I plan on using it in my garden. I saw a video after I bought, but before I used it, comparing this electric chipper with 2 others, and the person doing the comparison chose this chipper as the best of the 3. I used this for hours at a time for 6 consecutive days, and it worked like a champ. FYI, I don't normally write reviews for products that I purchase, but I felt like I needed to write this one.

Not too expensive, but worth the price.

This is a good piece of equipment for working around the home. It definitely is not for industrial-type work. I haven't used it nearly as much as I intend to, but I had a bunch of holly and ivy branches I cut for decorating at Christmas and it handled them quite well. It took a little while to learn just how to feed everything into the chute, but once I got it figured out everything went quickly. When shredding moist stuff, it is important to follow the manufacturer's suggestion of running some dry stuff through regularly, otherwise the debris does cause impactions; but other than that, I had no problems. It's all electric, but has plenty of power for chopping the size of plant matter that will fit in the guide holes of the hopper, and it is made with safety in mind. The shreddings can be used for composting and mulching. I would definitely recommend it.

Great for hardwoods, but limited

This is a great chipper for limbs, but does not do so well with clippings from your hedges. The soft wood and leaves will clog the lower unit, making it necessary to stop and clean it out.
