Excellent Sound!

Our main family TV is an 82" 4K, and I've wanted a sound bar system for so long because when watching movies, I have to really crank the volume high (in the 50s+) with the TVs "built-in" volume in order to hear the characters speaking, but then have to turn down the volume when the movie music/score is playing because it's too loud. With the sound bar, the volume seems to adjust itself as far as being clear and louder when movie characters are speaking, and lower when the thematic music is playing (same goes for commercials). Not being a very tech savvy person, that's the best I can do as far as describing what the sound bar and small accompanying woofer does. It makes a huge difference as far as the TV's overall sound quality and viewing experience, especially when watching movies. (Please excuse the cords and mess in the images. I was in a hurry to set up the system and try it.)

Sound is great!

Pictured is a 42in LG tv and the soundbar is almost exactly the same length. We put it in my daughter’s room and the subwoofer fits right in to one of the little cubes. The volume/power buttons are on top of the bar which I like, if I can’t immediately find the remote, because usually they’re on the side. Setup was easy and quick. It also came with hardware to mount it on the wall if you wanted to. Good sound for a small bedroom but maybe not for a family room. The options for treble and base are limited to only a few options vs true customization (at least when connected to any brand other than Vizio). Still, I 100% recommend!

Really Nice

I received this Visio V21x-J8 sound bar to try and write a review. When I received the unit it was very well packaged. It was easy to unpack and with the clear instructions, I was able to install the components and get it set up. It came with wall mounting brackets for the bar itself, but I haven’t used them as of yet. I have it sitting on my component cabinet and it fits very well for me. I may or may not hang it at a later date. I will hide the wires later as well. It comes with a nice template for the mounts as well which is very nice. It also comes with the remote control and even has the batteries. The remote is very nice and easy. It just takes a little practice to learn the features and get them down pat. The sound is extremely nice. Of course it’s not like a multi-hundred dollar system would sound but for the price range, it is very nice and smooth. The base from the woofer is really something. Watched a movie last evening with a lot of explosions and etc. and it was great. Never knew what I had been missing. It has base, treble, equalizer, volume and etc. controls. I highly recommend this unit to anyone that’s looking for added sound to their smart TV. I hope this review helps someone in deciding or making a purchase decision.
