Cooking Instructions - General - Ovens vary so please use these instructions as a guide to the best preparation for your oven. Microwave - From Frozen - Cook only one at a time. Developed with 1100-watt microwave ovens. Remove from the box and place on a microwave-safe plate. Cut a 1-inch slit in center of the film. Cook on high for 4 to 5 minutes. Check that food is cooked thoroughly to 165°F. Carefully remove film after cooking. Oven cook - From Frozen - Conventional Oven: Do not cook in toaster oven. Preheat oven to 375°F. Remove box and film. Place on a baking sheet and cook for 40 minutes. Carefully remove from oven. Check that food is cooked thoroughly to 165°F. Do not thaw

Needs gravy
The Blake's All Natural Shepherd's Pie may be considered as dry and lacking flavor, without gravy or sauce. A side packet of gravy would make this meal better. When I make Shepherd's Pie, I use the same 3 ingredients but have onions in my ground beef. The meat texture has been described as dry, but mixed all together, it's fine to me. I will purchase and eat again, and as far as I know, this is the only frozen Shepherd's Pie that I've seen or bought. I think 8 oz is not enough, so I tend to buy two and add gravy. It is a simple and convenient meal that is ready in minutes.
