This tape is the Right way to fix it

Plane: ParkZone Typhoon 2 3d. Age: 8 months. Condition: Grounded due to too many crashes which has left the aileron practically detatched. When applying this tape you can feel the quality in the adhesive and the material. It's like a very thin but very strong rubbery-plastic material. I do believe this tape was specifically designed for this task. But you can use it for other tasks too, if you don't mind paying a premium. I quckly looked for instructions/tips on how to use the tape, I'm a noobie and it wasn't until I saw the photo here that I understood the tape is to be run along the width of the aileron. The Typhoon originally used 3 individual flexible hinges and I thought I would use this tape in the same fashion but it works much better running it the length of the wing/aileron. I believe care must be used to allow the tape to "un-stretch" as you apply it to the wing. ie, as you unspool it, it stretches like a real thick rubber band, I'm sure it needs to un-stretch before pressing it on. I'm not sure if 2 pieces must be applied on the top and bottom, I just did one side and the aileron feels quite secure. I give it 5 stars everywhere except for value, the role cost $9 (Canadian) and even though I think the quality is outstanding, I still think it was a little pricey. I also give only 4 stars for durability because it has yet to stand the test of time. Happy Flying Josh
