Great for wood floors and it catches 99% of the water my dogs slurp. If you are buying large bowls get a larger size or two of the smaller ones. I got 2 large %26 2 medium bowls and two of the smaller size mats perfectly fit with some room. FYI, the large bowls are big, so keep that in mind when you order these.

Handles slurp-spills well. Colorful %26 cute. Thin mat to minimize any sort of tripping hazard and it's sturdy and stays in place well as well. Quality material. It won't keep absorb big spills but it will work for its intended purpose. If you accidentally kick over the dog bowl, though, well, you will need towels. (Spoken from experience %26 clumsiness, ha!)
