Was placed under the cat litter box. It keeps litter from their paws on the rug and not out in the house. I got a smaller one to place by the garage door and it stops the dust and dirt from coming in on the guys shoes. So Simple to clean, can shake it outside and then throw in the washer and dryer. Fits in the bottom of the 48 inch crate with just a teeny bit of overlap. You can cut it, but I'm not going to since I like the way it fits. My dog is a digger and a chewer and for some reason she has not tried to chew up this particular crate mat. I thought the price was great, especially since she didn't even destroy it. I was hoping for a couple weeks, %26 so far it's been a month.
