Herbaila Unsweetened Dried Montmorency Tart Cherries, 16 oz – No Added Sugar

These Unsweetened Dried Montmorency Cherries are some of the BEST I've ever had! First, they are so fresh with just the right amount of moisture that gives them a soft chewy texture, never dried out or hard. The flavor is tart but not overly so and even though no sugar is added, they are still sweet... it's like eating sweat and sour gummy candy but natural... it's "nature's candy", truly! The bag is HUGE! and has a really good price point, especially considering how expensive cherries themselves can be but just in general, how costly everything is with groceries these days. These dried cherries make a great healthy snack on their own (cherries have good-for-you antioxidants!) they are also super delicious in recipes too! I use them in my baked goods and love them in my salads, usually with pecans or walnuts with blue cheese and a vinaigrette dressing.... I even love snacking on them while watching a movie with just a bit of chocolate chips as my candy treat...chocolate with cherries=yummm! While I do wish these were sold in-store because I crave them, shipping is pretty fast and deliver within a day or two. As a heads up, these do not qualify as an EBT eligible food item for whatever reason unfortunately, but I will say they are totally worth the splurge! Especially if you're comparing the quality to what IS offered... there is none! Do yourself a favor, and "Treat Yo Self" lol! Seriously though... "Just Do It"! Alright, I'll stop now... ha ha.... Just promise, use these if you ARE using in a recipe where you need good quality ingredients.... you will thank me! ok, maybe not... but you WILL taste the difference!

These are the best dried cherries I've ever purchased. Think raisin softness not like dried cranberries ( shriveled and dried to a pulp sorry ocean spray). These are great as a snack or sprinkled in yogurt with all nut granola. But usually, I'm just grabbing a handful when I want something sweet! They can be tart but that's what I love about them. They remind me of the tart cherries in Colorado which are the greatest! Took off one star for pricing as they are a bit pricey but the quality is worth it. I'll def be buying again.
