The box is much bigger than it looks in the picture.
When I wanted to replace the overly large switch with the too-short cables that came stock with my Champion winch I thought that this would perfect. However, the black box in the picture is MUCH larger than shown and I had an impossible time finding a place on my ATV to mount it. To make matters worse the battery leads coming out of the box are only about 18" long limiting placement and the box is not sealed on the bottom (exposed wiring) and I could image a lot of snow and salt getting there when I am plowing which probably wouldn't be real great for the electronics. This might work on an bigger UTV or Truck but not for an ATV.

We do offer quick connectors for the battery leads so you can purchase the exact length needed to extend them. This would allow you to also mount it in a more protected area like under the seat perhaps.
