Buy these. Don't throw out your old boots
I ws having severe pain in my right knee on hikes--particularly on steep trail descents. It was so bad I hobbled along just two miles in. Rather than buying se expensive new hiking boots, I tried replacing the inside of my old boots with these orthotics. They did the trick! They provided the cushioning I needed to hike without knee pain. On rugged trails I use trekking poles and wear a knee brace just as I did before, but these orthotics were exactly what I needed. I'm so glad I tried them because my hiking boots are still really good in every other way. There just wasn't enough padding to absorb the shock. I highly recommend these to anyone experiencing knee pain.
