Downton Abbey Movie & TV Collection - Collector's Edition (DVD)

This version of the box set looks nice. It's got the whole series and the first post-series movie. Plus, it's packaged on individual flip trays in the cases so that you can get one DVD out at a time. We looked at the other version of the series in a black and white box, but that contains only the series and extras in a plastic case of piled up discs. We compared all the bonus features and this set has all the same things and more. And the price was comparable. So if you're trying to decide between the two sets and are wondering what's the difference, we recommend the Movie And TV Collection in the green box because of the extra movie and the ease of access. Of course, it's too early to tell if the discs themselves are good. It takes a while to watch through a series. So like all new DVD sets, we hope for the best that it will play all the way through. Getting this set means that later we'll only need two other reunion movies on DVD to finish the collection. Normally, we rate the show itself highly because we buy DVDs of shows we like. This is the first time we're taking a flyer on a show because of reputation and recommendation. We hope we don't hate it. But for now, we'll throw it a five for both the show and the product.
