Dorcy 40 Lumen Camping Lantern

I can honestly say when I received this item, I thought I had ordered a different one - one that had a dial to reduce/increase the amount of brightness. So, I felt rather disappointed this one did not have that feature. However, I have since used these in my house just to experiment in the event of a power outage. I must say, the amount of light is incredibly bright! I used it on my bed to read by and had to shield my eyes with the quilt! Lesson learned, too far away for reading - if you are as blind as I am - does not work. Too close is too bright. I think if I had used two of these tiny dynamos, the light would have been just right to read by. I am really impressed with this product! I wish I had had these before during power outages!
