This is my second time to buy this item (first time was in a Walmart store). The filter goes on the intake side of the fan and the little pokey clips don't really need pressure/snapped in hard b/c the fan intake keeps it all on. I guess if you turn it on %26 off, the clips are important, but mine is always on except for cleaning. The filters collect dust beautifully. Periodically check them %26 if dusty, I gently fold the filter inward so the dust doesn't fall off; then take it outside and shake out then wash upside down with the hose (I lay it on a small bush) and a little cleaning spray. Lay out to dry then put back on. Very economical.

I wish I had bought these sooner! They come 2 to a pack. The filters fix a box fan and adhere to the back with the included hook and loop fasteners. I just peeled them off and stuck them to the back of the fan. Put the filter on top. Super easy! Then I trimmed the corners of the filter around the curves of my fan. This will help keep the fan clean and filter the dust and pollen coming through the window. Plus, I can handwash the filter when it gets dirty. Great product!
