My 2 1/2 yr old grandson has recently discovered the Cars movies and has been delighted by each new acquisition of a Cars character. Mater has been a bit hard to find in diecast but this talking one checked all the boxes. My daughter in law has sent pictures of him offering his precious Mater to his new baby brother when he was crying, hugging Mater while sick, and most recently one of Mater sitting in an empty stable waiting for Baby Jesus. The toy stands up well to LOTS of playtime!
