This is the best messy play, hands-on, fun for your little archeologist and I would highly recommend this for your gift list! We set out some brown packing paper, soaked the cube in water for a few minutes, and started chiseling away. It was a lot of fun for the kids to use the chisel and hammer, and I was definitely close by the entire time to guide them and to clean up a little as they played. They decided to wear rubber gloves and although there was splatter on their shirts and shorts, it washed off their skin immediately and clothes (the next day) without a problem. They just tossed the tools and each rock they found in a container of water and dried them off with a paper towel. We used the included glow light/marker and the rock lit up and glowed brightly! They even wrote a secret message with the invisible ink that lit up brilliantly when we shined the glow light on it. I like that you can use the clips and rings to make keychains. This was a super cool and very fun time for everyone, but the sweetest moment was when my daughter looked at me and said that she wants to be an archeologist one day.

I got this kit for my son and he absolutely loved this activity. With the quarantines going on and kids really just being home more, this is the perfect gift for that child. Not only do they get to build a monster truck they also get to create and paint their own monster truck.
