If your caliper is damaged, Walmart WON'T help you

I got a working brake caliper, Walmart decided the caliper didn't need any padding inside of the box, it had holes so big I'm surprised it didn't fall out of the box. Due to the lack of padding, it arrived missing paint all over it. The aluminum is gouged in several places. I bought the same thing from Amazon, they put the same box as Walmart inside of another box and added padding and it's flawless. But now I have a brand new caliper that doesn't match, because of all of the damage. When I called Walmart they said they can't replace it. Only refund me the price I paid, which is less than the price it currently costs. And I'll have to come out of my own pocket for the item to be in the condition it was claimed to be in.
