Deuter Race EXP Air Hydration Pack 12L Volume 3L Reservoir Black/White

I have had my Race EXP Air for approximately TEN YEARS. I am a daily bike commuter, so I can state that my Race EXP Air now has at least 25,000 kms on it through all types of salty East Coast Canadian weather. Many mornings over the years I have jammed clothing, shoes, phones, food, books, etc in it. On the way home I might at times jam a litre of wine on top of the rest. In short, I am not gentle with it. The bag has a variety of compartments to stash wallets cards or money. The bag is almost waterproof (while riding), I've only used the rain cover a couple of times. Presently my good old bag has a slight tear in one of the zippers. Does Deuter do repairs? In any case I intend to keep it in service. The best part of cycling with this bag is that I forget I have it on! Never have I experienced any discomfort while wearing it and that would include strain, abrasive agitation or over heating, be the ride 10 minutes or 10 hours. I have convinced many friends to use this bag and I'm sure their reviews would be similar to mine. I write this review today because today I have splurged and purchased the smaller Race X as my new running and hiking bag, I hope it's as PERFECT as the Race EXP. Thanks Deuter.

What more can you say about a pack that's lasted 17 years?! Yes, 17 years. My Race X Air has traversed the Continental Divide, taken abuse in Fruita and Moab, and has been on my shoulders for every ride since summer 2000.
