Good fixture; fragile lightweight globe
Had to buy this celing fixture because my 1981 laundry room light had finally generated frayed wiring. Fortunately, this new light was exactly the same size as the old one, and the electrical connections were identical. I used the old globe, however, because the new globe on this fixture was EXTREMELY light weight and fragile. Does it matter? It sure does! Especially when you need to change a light bulb every year or so. A fragile globe could break under normal handling. WalMart would do well to tell the Chinese manufacturer that cheap, fragile globes are a turnoff for American customers.
