Smaller birds really like it. The bigger birds not so much. Of course I have it hanging. I believe if it was on a post in stead of hanging it the larger birds i.e. Blue Jays and comparable size birds would also use it.

Has plastic piece in bottom to move seed toward birds. Holes near corners of floor to drain rain. Decortive wood arches on sides near roof. Roof is made of wood shingles. Wood pieces on outer sides of floor, rise above floor to keep seed in feeder

i love and so do the birds

i bought this feeder a few weeks ago and the birds loved it so much that i bought another. they are both hanging near a window so that i can watch the activity. it seems to be a favorite with cardinals. it took 2 days for the birds to find the first one, but the second was busy with birds in about an hour. there are sometimes 3 or 4 feeding at 1 time with another waiting for his turn. really pretty and easy to hang.
