Beautiful repeat blooms

Every two years I repot my orchids. Using Miracle-Gro Potting Soil Coarse Blend works perfectly. I get multiple repeat blooms year after year. It is a perfect mix of ingredients that provides the proper aeration and drainage that orchids need... with a bonus of Miracle-Gro plant food. Love this product!

Terrible

Unfortunately I did not read the reviews on this web site before the Miracle-Gro® Orchid Potting Mix. I bought Miracle-Gro® Orchid Potting Mix several months ago to repot my orchids. I recently repotted them and had a major infestation of little black flying bugs. I did think it was something wrong with my house, but when I open the bag to replant another orchid, I realized that tons of little black flying bugs were inside the bag. I then took the Miracle-Gro® Orchid Potting Mix outside and realized that it was full of little eggs.

MUSHROOMS?!?!

opened up this bag of orchid potting mix and I was surprised to see the medium looks like soil, instead of the recommended bark medium. I had thrown out the bark that my orchid was in before i had opened up, but thought i would give this a try anyway. I used the miracle gro orchid plant food as well, everything seemed to be working and my orchid looked like it was doing well, however within a week i noticed mushrooms growing in my mix. Mushrooms?!?! now my orchid looks like it is dying and now i have to spend some more $$ buying a different medium to try to revive my orchid.
