I had a professional install the running boards. The hardware would have been easy, but I did not want to do the wiring myself. I really like the way that they tuck up under the chassis and preserve the stance of the truck. And, of course, the automation is so convenient by presenting them when you want them and putting them away when the doors close.

The running boards are great, the customer service was top notch. There were no written instructions with the kit but the young lady at customer support emailed a pdf to me before I hung up the phone. I have a Ram 1500 and the instructions seem to be for a HD Ram. Descriptions of the mounting of motors was incorrect, pictures of door posts were incorrect as well. If I'd run the “magnet loop” wiring as directed they would have been too short and required modification. I wasn't able to find and watch instructional videos on the website. Otherwise the installation was relatively easy and the boards have made it possible for my wife to enter/exit the truck more easily and safely. She is now able to drive the truck for trips by herself. I missed the promotional price for Black Friday and tech Monday but would buy them again; for us they were a need not just a want and are serving us well.
