Durango® Arena Pro™ Women's Chestnut Western Boot

I have what I affectionately term "duck feet": narrow heels paired with awkwardly broad fronts. Nearly every shoe I buy has to be a dedicated Wide or I collect bruises along the sides of my feet -- fortunately, this is not the case with Durango riding-suitable boots; of which I now have several pairs. In addition to their awkward width dimensions, my feet also have high arches, and require good arch support -- these boots fit perfectly out of the box, as though they were made for me! I've never been so pleasantly surprised! One thing of which to make especial note -- the pictures never quite do the boots justice. As a customer, you unfortunately need to expect a little variation from what is shown -- a lesson learned the hard way. These boots, for example, are more colorful than they appear. On seeing these in-person, it's quite apparent that the stitching pattern visible in the picture, which gives an impression of being white or pale brown, is in fact mostly blue (visible on the narrow-stitched inner portion) mixed with yellow and red threads -- in my personal opinion, it's actually far nicer than the site displays, and I would have picked these over my initial pair of burnished sand Rebel Pros had I known how they actually looked -- it dresses up the plain chestnut without getting so horrifically gaudy as those colored-shaft boots that make up the majority of the women's boot catalog. It's so hard to find a traditional brown-base boot -- they all seem to be men's! This one has been on my list for a while to add to my western riding collection as the general-purpose boot, and I'm almost afraid to put it to good use, it's that nice. Overall, very happy with my purchase -- now if I could only find a similarly functional brown style in a taller shaft! ;)
