this review is for the BLACK & DECKER CORDLESS LITHIUM HAND VAC WITH SCENTED FILTER. I was excited when i read the description of this hand vac which stated that it runs 2.5 hours on a full charge. that is an exceptional amount of time which is needed for uninterrupted cleaning. cordless portability makes it easy for room to room or vehicles and more, and youll be able to accomplish your tasks without having to recharge too soon before your ready. a wall mount bracket is included to store the vac while charging or just to keep it at arms reach. the charging cord plugs into a wall electrical outlet and opposite end plugs into the hand vac above the handle. but a bracket doesnt have to be used for charging if you dont want to. for a first full charge it takes 16 hours. the vacuum switch must be in the off position for the charger to work. do not use vacuum while plugged into the charger, however, this vacuum is able to stay connected to the charger cord INDEFNITELY during the charging process without any damage to this hand vac. NO need to plug and unplug every time. the B&D CORDLESS LITHIUM HAND VAC WITH SCENTED FILTER has a total of 4 pieces that snap or slide together and your'e done assembling. the hand vac base is 5 1/2" at its widest point by 7 1/2" inches thick x 9" inches long and with the snap on nozzle the vacuum becomes 17 1/4" inches.then the built in crevice tool pulls out of the nozzle and gives and extra 4 1/2" inches making this hand vac a total of 21 3/4" inches in length. this is such a light and simple hand vac with lots of suction, which i so much desired. both the filters are washable and reusable. but if you want to keep the scent going, the scented filter may need changing around the 6-9 month range. but NOT NECESSARY TO CHANGE if you just want to use the hand vac without any scent. the vacuum should be emptied after each use and kept clean. reason being....if there is debris inside the dust/dirt bowl, and you turn the hand vac upside down to hang it on the wall bracket, the dirt will fall out, especially if its almost full. i love this BLACK & DECKER CORDLESS LITHIUM VACUUM. my 10 year old grandaughter cleanS up after her own dry messes now, and even she likes the weightless(APPROX 2 LBS)feel and its power. what i wouldve liked to have added to this product, is a battery indicator light that lets you know once the vac has a full charge(instead of guessing), and also a hepa filter. comes with a 2 year warranty great hand vac that gets the job done quickly.
