. Materials Required:. • Sandpaper. • Spackling or joint compound. • 3-6" Drywall Knife. • Gloves. • Dust mask. Instructions:. 1. Lightly sand around hole and wipe clean. Remove backing paper from patch. 2. Apply patching compound to metal side of wall patch and press firmly over hole. 3. Cover entire patch with compound feathering edges outward. 4. Allow to dry, then lightly sand smooth. Repeat as necessary. For Textured Walls: Use Homax® Orange Peel and Knockdown aerosol spray textures to blend in your repair with the surrounding surface. Smooth wall, apply patch, apply spackling & finish

I applied the wall patch to the wall. Covered it with patching plaster. Let it dry and sanded and painted the area. You cant tell that there was ever a hole in the wall.

Works so well!! We had baseboard heat in our house that we replaced, but pulling them out meant we had holes in the wall where the unit was wired. Used these spackle and/or mud, and you can't even see where the hole used to be!
