WORKS GREAT FOR THE RIGHT PRICE

This was the closes replacement soap dispenser I could find for the affordable price. Works great and the price was perfect. I would prefer to have nosal thicker and sort of rectangular design so you could push on nosal if you needed soap, like the original one. With this design you are forced to push on very top of plunger.

22 years and still working, but with caveat

Purchased in 1998. It was working fine until sometime in 2019 when I notice leaking on the base and it was getting harder to push; then the liquid just wouldn't come out and the pump action was not happening. This was about the same time I started using Dawn Ultra dishwashing liquid (or it got stronger). I've always used Dawn, but this version seems thicker. I believe this caused the issue with the dispenser (warning to others). I soaked the head in distilled water, then pumped distilled water through it. Then I put some oil on the rubber part and let it sit upside down. I then diluted the dishwashing liquid with distilled water in the dispenser reservoir. It took MANY pumps to get the liquid flowing and it has since been working fine so far (one week out). The thinner liquid seems to be the trick and its still more than adequate for washing.
